About Us

The Founders

These two women came together to make a difference for many families in need of affordable housing.  Both carry several years of experience in the housing sector and eager to work with women of culture to build sustainable relationships in our communities.

Imelba Martinez

Imelba Martinez a Real Estate Professional connects key investors with key real estate opportunities. She brokers and closes complex deals and also consults on project management services. Licensed Real Estate Professional with over 15 years’ real estate and 10 years’ community development experience revitalizing low-to-moderate income communities within Affordable Housing Homeownership programs. Her range of expertise includes: providing strategic on-site property management services and landlord-tenant relations, marketing and investor relations, advising on real estate investments, structuring investment packages for investors seeking bank-owned or distressed properties, homeownership, foreclosure credit counseling; designing, coordinating and facilitating workshops on securing credit and money management; developing educational and promotional materials; and creating masterclasses/workshops on a variety of real estate topics. Mrs. Martinez received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hofstra University. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and Jack and Jill of America Inc. She is married with two children and resides in Queens.

Detra L. Harris

Detra L. Harris, is a Bay Area native, locally born and raised in San Francisco, CA. She is a multi-business owner, a Realtor, a real estate investor, landlord, property manager, and a mentor that carries over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. Her management portfolio includes over 15,000 units of conventional and affordable housing communities collectively, 28 Million in asset management. She holds a HUD Certified Occupancy Specialist Certification (COS), Certified Multifamily Specialist (CMS), Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM) as well as a Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS).   She was honored by the California State Assembly in 2001 with a Certificate of Recognition, in honor of, “Your Exemplary Commitment to Helping Seniors and Low-Income Individuals and Families Through Your Efforts to Provide Affordable Housing and Job Training”. She completed her studies in Business Administration at Laney College and San Francisco State University.
